Duplicate Bridge, lead by Charles, has 50+ members and meets at Alweston Village Hall from 2 pm to around 5 pm on most Monday afternoons throughout the year. It is a mixed competence group and we aim to play in a relaxed and gently competitive atmosphere with minimum reliance on a “Director” to resolve any playing issues that arise. It is worth saying that this is not a group for bridge beginners and that new members generally come to us as a pair. We generally play 22 boards with a break for tea. A results table is circulated to all members after every session.
