Rehearsals are held weekly from September to July, with occasional breaks.

We are a mixed choir with a membership of about 45. Music is provided but you do not have to be able to sight read and previous experience, though helpful, is not essential. We are a very friendly and supportive group!

Each year we cover a varied repertoire of songs, ranging from classical pieces, spirituals, folksongs, jazz and a few “popular” arrangements.

Concerts and other less formal events feature regularly in our annual calendar. For example, in the past we have held Carol Concerts in Cheap Street Church during the Christmas Tree Festival, lunchtime concerts under the auspices of the Sherborne Abbey Festival, and Summer Concerts to round off the year. Recently the U3A Madrigal Group joined us in presenting a summer concert “Viva la Musica!”. For our next event please check our event program below.
