AGM Notice
'The 2025 AGM of Sherborne u3a took place on 15 October 2025. Members were welcomed by the Chairwoman, Sue Thomas-Peter, who confirmed that a quorum was present.
The Committee welcomed our new Treasurer, Doug Fuller, who was unanimously voted in by members. Doug replaces our previous Treasurer, Pete Akers, who served Sherborne u3a for a number of years. It was noted at the meeting that Sherborne u3a continues to grow with 900 members, an increase of nearly 100 since the 2024 AGM. Social activities continue to be very popular and we all look forward to another year of activities for our members.'
Third Age Trust

The u3a matters magazine is available to any u3a member. To receive your copy please contact your local u3a committee so that they can add your contact details to the u3a matters database.
Beacon
At the end of 2023 Beacon was adopted. This is a bespoke online system specifically commissioned by the Third Age Trust to help individual u3a’s throughout the country to manage their organisations. Initially, it will be used in the keeping of the membership records which include the collation and refinement of a data base for email distribution. It also has a range of other capabilities including finance management and for Group Leaders that we hope to become familiar with and exploit for the members benefit in the future.
