There are four Reading groups.

In Reading 2 we have 12 members and none on the waiting list. We feel that 12 people is enough as more would take a long time to go round for everybody’s comments.
We choose books from recommendations, and choose enough for the next 2 or 3 months. We choose paperbacks where possible and mix novels with biography , or mystery , travel or an old classic.
Among books we have read over the last year were:
My name is Y – Lemn Sissay; A Good Man in Africa – William Boyd; Lessons in Chemistry – Bonnie Garmus;
The Marriage portrait – Maggie O'Farrell; Mudlarking – Lara Maiklem; Amur River – Colin Thubron;
The flame trees of Thika – Elspeth Huxley; The crossing place – Elly Griffiths.
